JLL invests in Healthcare Solutions with veteran, strategic hire

Kimberly Lamb joins JLL as executive director for Healthcare team

October 09, 2019

CHICAGO, October 9, 2019 – With outpatient visits surging and Healthcare systems continuing to evaluate how they manage their real estate both on and off campus, JLL today announced that Kimberly Lamb has joined the firm as executive director, Healthcare Solutions. Based in Nashville, Tennessee Lamb will support existing partnerships and lead the growth of JLL’s healthcare real estate offering for healthcare provider’s non-acute, outpatient portfolios.

Outpatient visits rose by 25% over the last decade alone and, as a result, medical office buildings (MOBs) are becoming increasingly integral for health systems to serve their growing communities,” said Richard Taylor, Division President, JLL Healthcare Solutions. “Kimberly will be instrumental in expanding our REHS services offering to help enable health providers to deliver better, more convenient, and cost-efficient patient care in their communities.”

Lamb most recently worked as senior vice president of operations in the Healthcare Corporate Services Group of Lincoln Harris. In that role, she led operations for asset, property and facility management, engineering, and capital project management for a 32 million-square-foot national portfolio of healthcare facilities. As a member of Lincoln Harris’ executive team, she helped drive growth and enhance operational effectiveness by identifying new healthcare real estate revenue streams and serving as the relationship manager for top-tier accounts. Previously, she was regional director of corporate real estate for Ascension Healthcare, where she led a team managing a 34-million-square-foot national healthcare and senior living portfolio that included hospitals, MOBs, ambulatory clinics, free standing emergency departments, and surgical centers.

“Healthcare consumers increasingly expect a better, more convenient healthcare experience, so providers continue to move care out of traditional hospital campuses and into locations that are easier for patients to access,” said Lamb. “I look forward to working with JLL’s strong healthcare team to help providers reimagine the role of real estate to create a more efficient, convenient, and accessible health system that keeps populations healthier while controlling costs.”

Lamb graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a bachelor’s degree in business management and she is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. She was a speaker at the 2019 GlobeSt Women of Influence Conference and a panelist at the 2019 BOMA Dallas MOB Seminar focusing on “Emerging Strategies in Healthcare.” She has served on the CoreNet Global Future Forward 2025 committee creating a white paper on the future of the CRE industry and was most recently recognized by GlobeSt as a 2018 Woman of Influence in CRE. She also volunteers time to the progression of the industry by formally mentoring through CoreNet Global, ULI, and formerly ICSC.

With healthcare in a state of unprecedented growth, JLL continues to bolster its industry-dedicated platform. Since the beginning of the year, JLL has added industry veteran Jay Johnson as national director for Healthcare Markets; healthcare construction and design experts David Dierking and Michael Passaro as regional healthcare leads for the firm’s Project and Development Services business; and experienced healthcare strategist Bruce Cattie as managing director for solutions development.

JLL Healthcare enhances the patient experience, improves clinical outcomes, and drives financial performance through real estate and facilities solutions. The group provides dedicated support to manage real estate needs, facilities, guidance on portfolio optimization and location strategy, financing support for purchase or development, and assists systems and investors throughout the healthcare spectrum.
