Jamie Wallenberg finds niche career path
and drives positive industry change

Jamie Wallenberg is an Executive Vice President of Brokerage in Chicago, whose career grew from a background in studying architecture. Jamie joined JLL on the project management team right after graduation, using her architectural expertise as an owner’s representative for the interior buildouts. She assisted with design oversight, procurement, and construction management for over 2 million square feet of commercial interior renovations and relocations.

After a few years of engaging with owners and their tenants, Jamie recognized her experience could bring unique and valuable insights for tenants seeking new space. This realization, paired with her ongoing interest to step into an entrepreneurial role, sparked her to make a transformation within the firm.

“I decided to make this pivot about eight years into my career. I had the professional experience, clients, and industry knowledge to succeed,” Jamie said. “I also felt very supported by everyone around me to take this next step to fuel a career in brokerage and tenant representation.”

Along her journey, she built partnerships and had access to the resources needed to assist her move into commercial real estate brokerage. The array of technology, marketing resources, public relations and sales enablement tools all helped in nurturing relationships with her top prospects and clients.
