Who we are
Hear from members on what drives their passion for diversity and inclusion.
Shawn Gregoire, Senior Facility Manager
After my son, SPC Michael Isaiah Nance, was killed in action while deployed in Afghanistan in July 2019, VetNet immediately made sure that I had support through by collaborating with other diverse Business Resource Groups within JLL and from VetNet partnerships. People often only think of gender and ethnicity when it comes to diversity. However, diversity encompasses other groups such as the Veteran community. I joined VetNet because as a Gold Star Mother it was imperative that I show my support to Veterans especially within the JLL community.
Michael Ho, VP, Project and Development Services, NY Retail
I joined VetNet because as a Veteran, I recognized right away the opportunity to connect with other military Veterans throughout our organization. As a BRG, VetNet provides the framework for us to connect, support, recognize and celebrate fellow military Veterans within JLL. It is so very important for JLL to recognize the need for a diverse and inclusive workplace because acknowledging and celebrating our differences makes us a much stronger and more productive organization. The VetNet community is truly an awe-inspiring group of like-minded colleagues and allies.
Kris Dissette, Director, Project and Development Services and VetNet Pacific Region Co-Chapter Lead
I joined VetNet to support their mission of attracting and developing military talent. After experiencing first-hand how difficult transition out of the military can be, I feel proud to work for a firm which supports the transition process. I’m honored to be establishing a VetNet chapter here in the Pacific Northwest, furthering our commitment to support those service members, their spouses and others connected to military service.
Monica Castaneda, Facilities Manager and VetNet Pacific Region Co-Chapter Lead
I joined VetNet to help raise awareness to our Veteran community of the resources available to them. There’s a sense of camaraderie that’s huge within the military, which is missed when entering the civilian sector, with VetNet you’ll find that same sense of “family.” It’s the JLL way. Each member is a leader that wants to make a difference, an impact, not just to their team but also to our community. With Diversity and Inclusion being a core focus, it serves as a reminder that within our differences we find strength and unity. We’re able to elevate our business and our community when we show up as our true, authentic selves. It’s a no one left behind mentality; we are stronger together. Through embracing our diversity is where we all truly win! Semper Fidelis!
