Current Responsibilities
Todd Burns is the President, Global Chair, and Product Manager for JLL’s Project and Development Services unit (“PDS.”) Todd’s responsibilities include oversight ofthe Project Consulting, ProjectDesign, Project Management, and Project Build services that JLL provides. He is responsible for establishing and executing on the strategic direction of the business.
Todd leads the day to day business within the Americas Region ensuring that the region delivers in accordance with the global strategy, providing similar processes and results across the world. He has profit and loss responsibility for the unit and is responsible for driving the strategy and growth of theorganization with operating control of over 3,000 employees in 50+ major markets throughoutthe United States. He also has responsibility for business development, relationship management for the firm’s clients seeking project management services and ensures that the firm’s clients receive outstanding performance from the organization. Experience
Prior to his appointment as President of the unit, Todd served in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer for thebusiness for almost 4 years. He and his team have handled multiple projects and project types including: tenant development, moves, adds, changes, development of new base buildings, parking garages, healthcare facilities, hotels, and the implementation of large capital programs for clients around the world such as: Aon, Anthem Inc., Baker Hostetler, Bank of America, Convergys, Delphi Automotive, Ford Motor Company, Ernst & Young, Eli Lilly, General Motors, KPMG, McDonald’s, Motorola, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Procter & Gamble, Quaker Oats, Sun Microsystems, T- Mobile, Willis, and Xerox.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 1990, Todd worked as a Project Manager for Continental Bankworking with corporate banking clients. He has also worked as a general contractor for LaSalle Construction, a Research Architect for the Army Corps of Engineers, and an Architect for both a suburban Chicago architectural firm and an architectural engineering and construction management firm in St. Louis.
Education and Affiliations
Todd holds a Master of Architecture concentration in business management and a Bachelor ofScience in Architectural Studies from the University of IllinoisChampaign. Mr. Burns also holds the designation of a licensed architect in the State of Illinois and is a long-time member of CoreNet.
