JLL wins two MAXI awards for innovative retail marketing
The firm takes home one gold and one silver award at annual shopping center marketing competition
Las Vegas, May 20, 2019 — JLL today announced that it has won two MAXI Awards, including one gold award from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the world’s largest retail real estate trade organization. The awards were presented at a ceremony on May 19 in Las Vegas during RECon, ICSC’s Annual Convention.
The MAXI Awards acknowledges innovative events, programs, and technologies that add value to both shopping centers and companies across the United States. Each category is designed to recognize evolution in the industry, while rewarding creativity and innovation with Gold, Silver, and Finalist distinctions.

Our team is not only proud of our award-winning campaigns but also the fantastic results we have achieved.” This year, JLL’s retail marketing team took home two MAXI Awards for the following programs:
Gold: Rosedale Center, Rose & Loon, Revenue Category
To provide customers with the local and authentic products they desired, Rosedale Center decided to create a permanent retail concept that featured over 20 local Minnesota and Midwest merchants. The Rosedale team carefully enlisted the help of local creative directors, agencies, designers, and architects to develop and bring the store to life. Rose & Loon received local and national media including WWD, SCT, Co-Star, and Chain Store Age, an ad value of $150,784. Rose & Loon surpassed the forecasted sales goal by $121,000.
Silver: Ka Makana Ali’i, Draft Day featuring Jerry Rice, Community Category
As a way to give back to the community, Ka Makana Ali‘i created a Draft Day & Football Camp featuring Pro Football Hall of Fame Wide Receiver Jerry Rice. Ka Makana Ali‘is management spearheaded a team of professional and amateur athletes, coaches, schools and non-profits to create a one-of-a-kind free football camp. The two-day event kicked off with Draft Day, a day of entertainment featuring over 200 performers, football-themed games, a meet and greet with Mr. Rice, photo opportunities, uniform pickup, text-to-win games and special offers from stores and restaurants. The two-day event earned media with an ad value that surpassed $60,000 and over 200 student athletes ran drills at the free football camp with Mr. Rice.
