JLL Carolinas leases new space for growing Raleigh-Durham office
Local office to double in size and leverage JLL’s expertise on evolving work experience
Raleigh, N.C., July 25, 2019 – JLL Carolinas has signed a lease for 13,268 square feet for its Raleigh-Durham office at Crabtree Terrace, the new mixed-use development at the intersection of Creedmoor Road and Glenwood Avenue, across from Crabtree Valley Mall.
JLL plans to relocate early next year and will double its space with the move, accommodating current and future growth across its various business lines, including tenant representation, landlord representation, investment sales and capital markets, and project and development services.
The new office will feature a design that provides multiple work settings and is responsive to today’s multi-generational workforce, which prefers a variety of work environments. The design is informed and inspired by JLL’s Future of Work, a unique outlook on the changing world of work and its impact on the next generation of corporate real estate.
JLL recently acquired leading capital markets firm HFF, bringing its Raleigh-Durham headcount to approximately 40, and the commercial real estate services firm anticipates strategic growth going forward as it continues to expand its business in the Triangle. JLL Managing Director Kimarie Ankenbrand was named head of the Raleigh-Durham office late last year, relocating from Dallas for the role.

Developed by East West Partners and Northridge Capital LLC, Crabtree Terrace includes 145,000 square feet of Class A office space and 28,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, including a 12,000-square-foot Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille. Coworking company Spaces has signed a lease for 31,794 square feet of office space at Crabtree Terrace, providing additional flexibility for growing tenants such as JLL, and Longleaf Law Partners has signed a lease for 8,000 square feet.
