Executive Leadership Council honors JLL’s Herman Bulls

Vice Chairman recognized with the 2020 Achievement Award at annual gala celebrating black executive business leaders

CHICAGO, October 19, 2020JLL’s (NYSE: JLL) Herman Bulls, Vice Chairman, Americas, has been honored with The Executive Leadership Council’s (ELC) 2020 Achievement Award. The accolade recognizes an African American leader whose career achievements highlight personal and professional excellence with noteworthy business success.

“Herman is one of the most genuine, sincere and well-respected members of the ELC,” said Crystal E. His prioritization of the ELC, coupled with his vast accomplishments are continually applauded by his fellow members. His longstanding commitment to the ELC should be a model for all.”

During his more than 31 years at JLL, Bulls founded the firm’s highly acclaimed Public Institutions Business Unit and has worked in the areas of development, investment management, asset management, facilities operations and business development/retention. Currently, Bulls works with JLL’s largest public and corporate clients to devise and implement integrated real estate strategies. He also provides thought leadership and strategic guidance to senior level executives.

Prior to joining JLL, Bulls completed almost 12 years of active duty service with the United States Army. He is Airborne and Ranger qualified and retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserves. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA in finance from Harvard Business School. Bulls serves on several public, private and not-for-profit boards.

As an active ELC member for 26 years, he has supported the organization in several capacities, including as former Chair of The Executive Leadership Foundation. During his tenure, he helped build an inclusive business leadership pipeline that empowered global black leaders to make impactful contributions to the marketplace and global communities where they serve.

Bulls received the Achievement Award on October 15 at the ELC’s Annual Recognition Gala, held virtually this year, which celebrates the business achievements of black executives, entrepreneurs, thought leaders and academics supporting diversity and inclusion in corporate America. The ELC is a national organization comprising current and former black CEOs and senior executives at Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies. For more than 32 years, the ELC has worked to build an inclusive business leadership pipeline by empowering black corporate leaders to make significant and impactful contributions in the global marketplace and their communities.
