Latino Empowerment Resource Network
The mission of the Latino Empowerment Resource Network (LERN) is to attract, develop and grow Latinx talent at JLL, becoming more representative of the communities in which we live and work. We provide a platform for employees to connect with the Latinx community, build an extended familia within JLL, and take advantage of the many resources available for career and leadership development.
Who we are
Hear from members on what drives their passion for diversity and inclusion.
Senior Vice President / Account Manager, National LERN Champion and Lead
The opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, lines of thought, and backgrounds is so rewarding. We’re able to learn from our differences and leverage them to build stronger teams that enrich us all not only as individuals but as an organization. The idea of inclusion and coming together as one despite our differences is something that I’m passionate about and want to continue to drive across JLL.
Director of Business Intelligence & PMO, National LERN Co-Lead
When I joined LERN I knew I wanted to help build connections, bring communities together and help remove barriers to provide equal opportunities for our diverse talent at JLL. For me, diversity and inclusion means embracing and appreciating the differences in people. Inclusion starts with listening, trusting and respecting that everyone is unique and come from diverse backgrounds. As an organization, we benefit from our different perspectives and solutions to problems.
Jose “Nacho” Ignacio Jimenez Sanchez
Americas Engineering Manager, LERN member
Our life from a personal and professional standpoint is not a standalone process. It requires collaboration with others. Our business will grow and get richer by the addition of different perspectives, thoughts, ideas, and behaviors. D&I is engrained in our community and like a puzzle, our community is made up of different pieces, that create the whole picture. Separately, those pieces can’t show the entire beauty of the picture.
Global Coworking Program Admin, LERN Chicago Chapter Co-Chair
I’m passionate about diversity and inclusion because I enjoy being an advocate for others and connecting people. As a D&I Leader for JLL I’ve had the opportunity to help advance others’ careers and make a positive impact by fostering relationships with external non-profits that help our people. I do this work because it is important, fulfilling and helps me lay the best foundation possible for my daughters’ future work force.
