Current responsibilities:
Wei Xie is the Senior Director of Research & Strategy for the Eastern U.S. at JLL, leading all aspects of local market research teams, programs and outputs in the East. Wei focuses on expanding and deepening the research platform into a strong component of the firm’s integrated operation and growth strategy across multiple regions. Wei brings a tremendous depth of market research and leadership experience that enhances the firm’s collective knowledge of market dynamics in a way that guides strategic decision-making and identifies risks and opportunities for clients.
Experience:
Based in Washington DC, Wei brings 15+ years of leadership experience in the commercial real estate industry. At her current role, Wei works with her multi-market teams to develop cutting-edge market analytics and thought leadership, provides bespoke insights and advice to guide investor and occupier clients, and delivers business and organizational strategies. Wei frequently presents her perspectives at client meetings and industry events; and is regularly cited in national and local media as a subject matter expert for the commercial real estate sector.
Wei began her career in 2006 at CoStar Group as a senior research manager; and joined CBRE in 2013 to lead its Mid-Atlantic research platform. Throughout her professional journey, Wei has been focusing on developing talent and building high-performing teams, while delivering client service excellence. She has advised on large-scale development projects and complex lease and sale transactions. Clients Wei has worked with include Fortune 500 companies, law firms, not-for-profit organizations, and government agencies.
Education and affiliations:
Wei has received a multinational and multidisciplinary education. She attended Renmin University in Beijing, China and University of Stuttgart, Germany for her undergraduate degree, and received her master's in communication from The University of Maryland in 2005.

Wei lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and traveling
