Current Responsibilities:

Tim’s project experience includes a number of complicated life science tenant improvements, as well as ground-up construction projects. He has managed the preconstruction, permitting, bidding and construction of a wide variety of project types, including large and small life science tenant improvements, cGMP clean manufacturing, historical renovations, private schools, churches, civil, OSHPD medical office, distribution centers, and industrial manufacturing projects.

Tim’s most recent project is the Quidel Corporation’s COVID test kit manufacturing facility in Carlsbad. This $63 million project is a state-of-the-art facility including all new mechanical, and electrical systems, with extensively upgraded structural infrastructure.

Experience:

Tim has over 40 years in the industry, first as a young tradesman, then as a superintendent, and finally as a project manager for the last 25 years, 20 of those years as a Sr. PM completing numerous multimillion dollar projects. Tim has managed more than 100 projects over his lengthy career.
 
During the initial stages of a project, Tim’s project involvement includes assisting in the strategic planning of the project, due diligence, preliminary scheduling, budgeting, design team selection, design management, value engineering, constructability review, entitlements and permitting. Once design and permitting are complete, Tim then assists in the General Contractor selection and finally management of the construction process for the client including construction observation, change order review, budget management, document control, schedule monitoring and recovery planning, FF&E installation management and occupancy. 

Education and Affiliations:

Tim is a graduate of Boulder TEC, is a California licensed general contractor, and a LEED Accredited Professional.
