Current Responsibilities:
Stephen Jenco is Vice President/Director of JLL’s New Jersey office market research platform. Steve is responsible for leveraging the research group’s market knowledge and expertise to support the firm’s brokers and their clients in making informed real estate decisions. His focus includes maintaining research database integrity, performing market analyses and publishing commercial real estate reports and market studies.
Experience:
Steve joined JLL in June 2012 as vice president/director of suburban tri-state research, which involved geographic responsibility for the firm’s New Jersey, Fairfield County, CT, Westchester County, NY and Long Island markets. JLL’s acquisition of HFF in July 2019, which brought a robust capital markets team to the firm, combined with JLL’s growing New Jersey leasing market share, resulted in Steve being tapped to exclusively manage New Jersey’s office market research platform in 2021.
Prior to joining JLL, Steve worked at Grubb & Ellis for 15 years, beginning as a research analyst and advancing to senior research analyst, then research services manager and progressing to vice president/director of research and marketing. At Grubb & Ellis, he was responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the research/client services group for the firm’s New Jersey offices and maintained compliance standards with all corporate research initiatives.
Education and Affiliations:
Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, while minoring in economics, geography, political science and history. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of New Jersey.
Outside interests:
Steve enjoys outdoor activities including bicycling, golfing and traveling, as well as spending time with his family. He also serves as co-president on the Home School Association Board of his children’s school.
