Current Responsibilities 

Stephania Pilarz is the Vice President- Specialty Leasing National Accounts. Her overall responsibility is to lease, manage and expand national accounts throughout the JLL managed portfolio. These accounts include seasonal, pop up, event, pay to play and other non-traditional revenue streams. Stephania continues to build relationships within the industry to ensure new and expanding concepts are represented within JLL. 

Experience 

Stephania has 30+ years of retail experience with a consistent management growth record specializing in shopping center leasing. Prior to joining JLL, Stephania worked with CBL and Starwood Retail Partners as Specialty Leasing for eight years overseeing the core centers, Chicago Ridge and Louis Joliet, and taking on additional leasing responsibilities for Southlake Mall, Promenade Bolingbrook and Arboretum of South Barrington, at various times. At General Growth Properties, she was a Group Vice President, Business Development for 10 years within specialty leasing. She has managed up to fifteen shopping centers driving her team’s performance of $20M in revenue. Additionally, Stephania assisted in special projects throughout her career such as creating policies and procedures, corporate sales training of new Business Development/Specialty Leasing Managers, implemented several Specialty Leasing programs for several new, from the ground up, shopping centers openings, which included developing new RMU programs, common area remerchandising efforts, and hiring and training Specialty Leasing Managers. Her career started in retail as store manager for a national brand clothing chain and transitioned to Shopping Center leasing with the Rouse Company in 1993. Stephania is also the recipient of several accolades and awards throughout her career, including “Specialty Leasing Manger of the Year” (Starwood), “Kiosk Leasing Manger of the Year” (Starwood), and multiple rewards and acknowledgments through the Tough Sloggers program with JLL. 

Education 

Stephania holds a bachelor’s degree from John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Arkansas and an Illinois Real Estate Brokers License.
