Current responsibilities
Rich Grieder is a Brokerage Associate on the Industrial team. His responsibilities include lease negotiations and transaction management with landlord clients and agency leasing. One of Rich’s top priorities is to ensure that his clients understand the financial side of a transaction and any associated credit risk. He is especially skilled at maintaining a balanced approach toward understanding macroeconomic and microeconomic drivers that impact the value of real estate.
Experience
Prior to his commercial real estate career Rich was a CPA and worked on financial forecasting for manufacturing companies, most recently working at Sealed Air Corporation. He was responsible for financial analysis as well as the internal and external messaging of financial results. Rich has seen commercial real estate transactions from the client side, as well as how business entity M&A activity can impact a company and the real estate strategy. While in finance, Rich lived and worked in Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL and Glasgow, Scotland. In commercial real estate, Rich has carved a niche as a broker with a strong analytical background and a keen understanding of the important issues to solve in each transaction.
Education and affiliations
Rich received his Bachelor of science in business with a concentration in accounting from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. He also has a Master of Science in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, and has an active NC CPA license. He is a member of the Charlotte Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR).
