Professional Expertise
Rekha began her career in the commercial industry in 2021. After graduating from the Gabelli School of Business, she was recruited into the award-winning Junior Broker Development Program and joined the Carlos’ team to specialize in advisory of mission-based organizations.
Now an associate on JLL’s Nonprofit, Education, and Government Practice, she spends her time navigating multi-disciplinary transactions with the aim of delivering thoughtful real estate strategies.
Rekha's enthusiasm for the real estate industry originated in the residential sector, where she began working in an administrative capacity for a property management company in Florida. Seeking more hands-on involvement, she transitioned to a brokerage firm in New York City, Citi Habitats (now Corcoran), where she gained valuable experience and obtained her New York sales license in 2019. During her time at Citi Habitats, she handled diverse responsibilities such as client relationship management, team marketing, and social media. As a junior agent, she specialized in rentals, sales, and managing media platforms. In 2020, Rekha broadened her horizons by interning at Engel & Völkers Americas, focusing on marketing and communications. During her four-month tenure, she contributed to corporate social media account management and content creation.
