Current responsibilities:
As the Managing Director, Mountain West Region Market Lead for Project and Development Services, Phil Friedl leverages his diverse 35-year background in engineering, construction, and real estate development to provide organizational and team leadership. He strives to consistently deliver exceptional client service through understanding the client’s needs, process improvement and best practices. His diverse project experience includes complex ground up development, adaptive reuse, tenant improvements, development advisory and multi-project capital programs across many industries.
Experience:
Phil has held various leadership positions in the PDS group over his eleven years at JLL. Prior to JLL, Phil operated FriedlUrbanFocus LLC, a boutique consultancy providing project and construction management as well as development advisory services to developers and private equity firms.
Before that, Phil served as a Vice President, Development with CIM Group, a national real estate investment and development firm, where he managed a portfolio of urban investments through various stages of the development process.
Prior to CIM Group, Phil served on the executive team of Dreyfuss Construction as Vice President, Operations where he was responsible for all field operations and project delivery for the company.
During his 21-year career at W.E. O’Neil Construction Company, Phil was instrumental in the company’s growth in the Southern California region, serving as a Vice President, Project Executive and an officer of the company.
Education and affiliations:
Phil earned a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He is active in the Urban Land Institute and the US Green Building Council and holds General Contractor licenses in California and Utah.
