Current Responsibilities
Melvin Chu, Managing Director with JLL’s Hotel & Hospitality Group. Since joining the Westcoast team, Mr. Chu has completed over $2.5 billion of hotel transactions. Mr. Chu recently relocated to Seattle after spending ten years in San Francisco. During his time in San Francisco, he advised on the sale of numerous high-profile transactions. Prior to joining the Westcoast team, Mr. Chu was based in Atlanta, where he performed extensive and detailed valuation analysis on both individual hotels and large portfolios. During his time in Atlanta, Mr. Chu played an integral role in the successful sale of over 60 non-performing notes collateralized by hotel assets during the great financial crisis.
