Current Responsibilities
Based in Austin, Matthew specializes in retail tenant representation and agency leasing for JLL in Central Texas. He is responsible for assisting national, regional and local retailers in identifying and securing prime locations to reach customers and drive value for their business. In addition, Matthew is a leasing specialist working to create a healthy tenant-mix through tailored leasing strategies for numerous landlords in Austin and San Antonio.
Experience
Prior to joining JLL as a full-time broker, Matthew worked for Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits. He managed over 100 accounts where he helped build relationships that grew his business in a positive way. His accounts included independent liquor stores, chain convenience, Dollar General, Family Dollar and WB Liquor. At JLL, Matthew has experience in tenant representation, lease negotiations, project leasing, land acquisition, and disposition.
Education and Affiliations
Matthew has a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Texas A&M, College Station. During his time in college, Matthew was involved in the Weston Agrifood Sales Program, and sat on the leadership council of his fraternity. Matthew currently sits on the volunteer board for the Austin Rodeo and is a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
