Current responsibilities:

Matt Samler is Executive Vice President of JLL's Location Economics Practice where he represents clients in site selection strategy, incentives negotiation, program approvals and contract implementation. Matt utilizes his real estate, finance and legal background when managing projects and working with clients to negotiate and model tax and non-tax savings including property tax, sales taxes, income/franchise taxes, as well jobs grants, infrastructure grants, training grants and other creative savings solutions.

Matt has worked throughout North America and partnered with senior leaders from companies on a wide variety of projects ranging from state-of-the-art large-scale manufacturing in aerospace and automotive, multiple headquarters and back-office relocations, to mid-size companies in areas including distribution operations and high growth/late stage tech companies. 

Experience:

Matt joined JLL directly out of law school in 2007 and has been with JLL for 14 years.

Education and affiliations:

Matt graduated from St. Mary’s School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2007. Prior to graduate school, Matt attended Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business where he graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
