Current responsibilities

Matthew’s responsibilities at JLL include assisting clients with tenant representation, lease negotiations, site selection, acquisition, disposition and investment sales.

Experience

Matthew joined JLL in 2011 and works within JLL’s Industrial Services team that serves both North and South Carolina.  The JLL Carolinas’ Industrial Services Team supports private and institutional investors, manufacturers, warehouse and logistics companies with the following services:

  • Disposition & Sale of Industrial Buildings and Land Sies
  • Tenant Representation and Site Selection
  • Agency Leasing
  • Investment Sales

Earlier in his career, Matthew worked in the motorsports industry for Jeff Gordon, Inc. and Hendrick Motorsports, where he managed leading sponsorship and licensing programs.

Education, Personal, and Affiliations

Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University in 2001, and a Master of Business Administration from The McColl School of Business at Queen’s University of Charlotte in 2010.

Matthew has obtained the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. He is also a designee and member of  the Society of Industrial and Office Realtor (SIOR) and holds real estate licenses in both North and South Carolina. Matthew is married to his wife Christen; has three children, Mary Charles, Weldon and Porter; and a Labrador Retriever named Lilly.

In the community, he has served on the Board of Directors for Festival in the Park and Kings Drive Art Walk and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Alexander Youth Network, Rotary Club of Charlotte and Charlotte Regional Board of Realtors (CRCBR).  Matthew has also held leadership and volunteer positions with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, Arts & Science Council Cultural Leadership Training Program and enjoys coaching youth sports.
