Matt Riley joined JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group in 2014. Currently based in Los Angeles as a Vice President, Mr. Riley focuses on full-service investment sales and has assisted in advising on over $2.0 billion of hotel investment sale and debt placement transactions throughout the United States since 2013.
Mr. Riley’s primary responsibilities include conducting financial and market analyses, managing disposition sales processes for full-service hotels and resorts, supporting the marketing process for transactions, and overseeing the preparation of marketing collateral.
Since joining JLL, Mr. Riley has been involved in the sale of several hotel transactions, including the sale of the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix, Madeline Hotel Telluride, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Westin Westminster, the Ala Moana Hotel, Parc 55 San Francisco, Hilton Pasadena, and the Four Seasons Scottsdale, among others.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Riley worked as an Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Analyst within Cushman & Wakefield's Global Hospitality Group. Prior to this role, Mr. Riley worked as a Financial Analyst for Pacifica Companies, a privately held real estate investment firm based in San Diego.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Riley received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego where he majored in Finance and minored in Real Estate. Mr. Riley is a California, Nevada, and Arizona licensed real estate salesperson and is an active member of several hospitality real estate organizations.
