Current Responsibilities

Matt Lopsonzski is a Senior Associate in JLL’s Financial Strategy Group. In his role, Matt provides corporate finance and capital markets advisory for occupiers of commercial real estate. Matt advises real estate users on the financial impacts of leasehold, ownership and financing options for single assets and property portfolios.  Matt specializes in determining optimal transaction structures, identifying cost savings opportunities and aligning financial objectives with real estate occupancy decisions  


Matt has over 7 years of diverse commercial real estate and corporate finance experience throughout the United States and abroad.  Matt worked in JLL’s Singapore office as the Portfolio Planner / Strategist for a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company.  Prior to joining JLL, Matt was a Senior Consultant in the Financial Consulting practice for CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic region  While with CBRE, Matt created customized financial scenario analyses to evaluate critical leasing and ownership decisions for office, industrial and special purpose property.  Matt prepared comprehensive financial analyses that incorporated cash flow, tax and GAAP accounting perspectives to ensure clients could make fully informed real estate decisions.  At CBRE, Matt served as the primary Financial Consulting practice contact responsible for producing and presenting all occupancy cost analyses for several CBRE global corporate accounts.

Prior to CBRE, Matt was a financial analyst for a mixed-use commercial real estate developer in the Washington DC region.  Matt was part of the development team for entitling, underwriting, and constructing a $195 million, ground-up development with residential, retail and hotel.  Matt’s responsibilities included creating and revising financial models for development pro formas and equity waterfall structures for joint venture partner negotiations.
