Current responsibilities

As Managing Director of JLL’s Data Center Business Unit, Matt Landek is responsible for leading the industry vertical for Work Dynamics. He provides executive leadership to guide the team’s overall strategy, execution, and account operations to deliver solutions that power outcomes for clients.

Matt holds responsibility for account deliverables and cultivates strong client relationships while also collaborating with colleagues to develop emerging data center solutions and support talent development and retention.

Matt drives outcomes for clients by spearheading value-add initiatives such as multi-generational outsourcing opportunities, portfolio expansions, implementation of technology enhancements, staff rationalizations, and M&A.

Previous experience

Matt has led real estate services for 15 years, partnering with countless clients to develop highly collaborative and productive teams. His clients have included AT&T, CyrusOne, Mars Wrigley, London Stock Exchange, JPMC Data Centers, Microsoft, Principal Financial, Prudential, UnitedHealth Group, US Bank and Verizon, among others.

Matt has a proven track record of driving operational efficiencies, developing multi-year operational financial strategies and implementing creative organizational solutions. He brings experience with numerous asset types, including data centers, retail, banking, manufacturing, secured environments, labs, specialty pharmacy and office.

At JLL, Matt has led account teams offering a wide variety of contracted services, including facilities management, engineering, employee experience, white space services, sourcing & procurement, project management, consulting, occupancy planning, transactions, move management and technical services.

Prior to joining JLL in 2012, Matt worked as a facilities management professional for Cook County Government. He served in various managerial positions including CMMS Manager, Business Manager and Acting Deputy Director.

Education and affiliations

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He holds a Facilities Management Professional designation (FMP) from the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).
