Current Responsibilities

For more than 25 years, Mark has held leadership roles in development and operating companies as well as investment and consulting firms. He has in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry and a track record of success improving operations, raising investment funds, capital restructuring, lease restructuring and loan workouts resulting in increased investment value. Throughout his career, Mark has developed, managed and restructured real estate of every asset class.

Experience

Prior to joining HMS, Mark was President of The K. James Companies where he managed all aspects of this real estate investment and development business with a portfolio consisting of commercial and medical office, retail centers, primary and secondary residential communities and golf courses.

Earlier in his career, Mark was a Principal with Catalyst Equity Partners, a private equity fund investing in turnaround situations and distressed middle market companies. He was in Mergers and Acquisitions at Brunswick Corporation with responsibility for executing corporate acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. Mark began his career with Ernst & Young, LLP as a management consultant serving the manufacturing, consumer goods and financial services industries
