Leadership Focus 

Mandalin started on the Capital One account with JLL in June, 2022. As Risk & Compliance Director, Mandalin is responsible for management and oversight of the account’s risk program, which includes the internal audit program, annual risk assessment process, controls testing and advancement of the account’s risk culture. The key purpose of the Risk & Compliance group is to manage the account’s risk and ensure risks and incidents are identified and escalated timely, and treated based on Capital One and JLL’s risk appetite. Mandalin also manages all contractual documents with Capital One, including the MSA, SOWs and SCRs.

Since joining JLL in 2015, Mandalin worked on the Bank of America account, starting as a Compliance Manager and moving into the account’s Risk & Compliance Director role. In this role, Mandalin was the chair of the account’s Risk Committee and was responsible for global compliance, internal audit, incident management and the global training program. Mandalin also managed the MSA with Bank of America, including all amendments and change controls, as well as delivering annual MSA compliance and risk training to 1200 account employees.

Mandalin’s Journey to JLL

Prior to joining JLL, Mandalin managed contract and social compliance for a textile manufacturing company. Her primary responsibilities included drafting and negotiating licensing agreements with large third party companies, including Disney, Nickelodeon and Marvel. Mandalin then managed compliance with all contract terms in international manufacturing factories, including factories in India, China and Vietnam, to ensure all social compliance obligations were fulfilled. Additionally, Mandalin drafted and negotiated all company leases, corporate merger agreements and agreements with third party vendors.

Education and affiliations

Mandalin holds a Bachelor of Arts from UNC Chapel Hill (2010) and a Juris Doctor (“JD”) from Charlotte School of Law (2014). Mandalin graduated in the top 1% of her graduating law school class and was the President of the Business Law Society. Mandalin also served as Chief Symposium Editor of the school’s legal journal. During law school, Mandalin interned in the in-house legal departments of Duke Energy and Springs Creative, primarily focused on regulatory compliance and contract law.
