Current Responsibilities:

Lalo Diaz is an Executive Vice President in JLL’s Downtown Los Angeles office and a member of JLL’s tenant representation group. He joined JLL in 2017, wher he serves on the firm’s Los Angeles Law Firm practice group and Entertainment Media group.

Experience:

Mr. Diaz has over 15 years of office leasing experience and execution of the firm’s tenant representation platform through the advisory of institutional tenants in Class A commercial real estate properties. He levereages JLL’s technology, workplace strategy, occupancy planning and financial consulting to ensure that the clients leverage JLL’s industry leading brokerage platform.

With a diverse background in commercial real estate leasing, investment, financing and construction, Lalo brings a unique perspective and commitment to his clients. His passion for commercial real estate has earned him long-term relationships with leaders in the entertainment, technology, media, finance, healthcare, law and non-profit industries.

Prior to joining JLL, Lalo was a senior leasing manager at Maguire Properties and Thomas Properties Group, two of the largest institutional office owners in Downtown Los Angeles. Lalo handled leasing duties for 10 years and served on the law firm’s leasing and acquisitions committee. Between 2003-2005, Lalo was based in Mexico City at Cushman & Wakefield, where he started his real estate career by representing global office tenants with office portofolios in both the United States and Mexico.

Education and Affiliations:

Lalo received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, with an emphasis on macroeconomics and business administration. Lalo also completed MBA level courses at the Marshall School of Business at USC with a specialization in real estate finance.

Lalo is the Americas Co-Lead of the Latino Empowerment Resource Network (LERN). In this role, Lalo represents LERN within JLL and works closely with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) office to ensure Americas LERN programs align with the Global DEI Strategy. Lalo is also a member of the JLL Community Impact Project and volunteers with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank every year.
