Current Responsibilities
As President, Kristin Mueller oversees all aspects of JLL’s Retail Property Management business, which delivers management, leasing, marketing, accounting, specialty leasing and construction management services to clients of the firm. She is responsible for implementing all retail strategies in the US and plays a key leadership role in the direction of international retail for JLL. The JLL Retail portfolio has over 500-managed malls, open-air and lifestyle centers totaling more than 75 million square feet.
Experience
Ms. Mueller was previously Chief Operating Officer for JLL’s Property Management group. She was responsible for executing the firm’s services platform, ensuring consistency in standards across the firm’s third-party portfolio as well as driving results and efficiencies across the business. Additionally, she worked directly with clients and Property Management’s client service teams to ensure an understanding of investment objectives, sourcing acquisitions, developing growth strategies and meeting service needs. She excels in managing diverse property types for owners and third-party clients encompassing every region of the country including Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Education
Ms. Mueller earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with a concentration in International Business from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She is a Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Additionally, she serves as chair for the Urban Land Institute’s Commercial & Retail Development Council - Silver Flight, is vice chair of the BOMA National Advisory Council, and served for six years on the ICSC Foundation Board of Directors.
