Career summary

Kelly is a Senior Managing Director in the New York office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL in 2011 as a member of the York/North East region of the Real Estate Investment Banking Group, focusing on raising debt and equity for national institutional accounts as well as commercial real estate owners and acquirers in the region. Kelly has over 35 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, including 15 years with leading Wall Street firms overseeing the origination of over $25 billion of commercial real estate loans.

Prior to joining JLL, Kelly was co-founder of Glacier Global Partners, LLC - a boutique real estate investment firm focused on debt and equity investments. Before that, he was the Executive Director at Eurohypo AG, the then world’s largest real estate investment bank, focusing on originating commercial real estate loans for securitization, syndication and on-book executions. He was involved in all aspects of the origination process, from sourcing loan opportunities to underwriting, structuring, closing, and distribution of subordinate debt positions.

Earlier, Kelly was a Senior Director in charge of originations for the CMBS Capital Markets Group at Nomura Securities, International. He was instrumental in building the firm’s CMBS origination platform from the ground up, growing from $0 to $4 billion in annual originations. Kelly held various other positions, including Senior Vice President at PaineWebber/UBS and Vice President at Citicorp Securities. At both firms, his mandate was to build and grow CMBS origination platforms from scratch. Kelly also spent eight years with Phillips Realty Capital in Washington, DC, holding positions of Analyst, Associate, Loan Officer and Vice President.
