Current Responsibilities
Based in Austin, Josh specializes in retail tenant representation and agency leasing for JLL in Central Texas. He is responsible for assisting national, regional and local retailers in identifying and securing prime locations to reach customers and drive value for their business. In addition, Josh is a leasing specialist working to create a healthy tenant-mix through tailored leasing strategies for numerous landlords in Austin and San Antonio.
Experience
Prior to joining JLL as a full-time broker, Josh was JLL’s retail intern for a year and a half. He sought to pursue a profession meant for relational, competitive people, and a career in brokerage seemed to be the perfect way to hone in on his natural abilities and past experiences to successfully serve clients. Throughout Josh’s time with JLL, he has gained experience in tenant representation, lease negotiations, project leasing, land acquisition, and disposition.
Education and Affiliations
Josh has a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Texas, Austin. Before attending UT Austin to study advertising and communications, Josh was a quarterback for Oklahoma State University. During his time at college, Josh was a Younglife volunteer team leader and president of the Undergraduate Real Estate Society. He is currently a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
