Jon Vanderplough provides corporate clients with real estate expertise to satisfy the full spectrum of corporate real estate needs including strategic planning, analytical decision support and transactional services. He leverages his background in transaction and project management, real estate market analysis, real estate information systems, and financial analysis and modeling to assist clients in resolving a wide array of business challenges. This diverse background allows Jon to apply a broad spectrum of industry knowledge to client needs resulting in practical and effective solutions.
Particular expertise includes development and implementation of corporate real estate strategy, headquarters relocations, structuring of corporate sale-and-leaseback transactions, build-to-suit project management, financial underwriting, global transaction management and portfolio optimization
Jon has over 20 years of experience providing real estate advisory services to corporate client with large domestic and international real estate portfolios. He has completed transactions in nearly every major North American market, as well as numerous assignments throughout Europe, South America, India and Southeast Asia. He has specific experience working in the contact center (BPO) space globally with a particular emphasis on the Philippines and India.
Additionally, he has considerable experience and expertise in Capital Markets, having worked with multiple institutional and individual investors, assisting with the acquisition, disposition, repositioning and debt/equity placement of numerous commercial assets. Over his career, Jon has participated in investment transactions totaling more than $1.5billion, including financial underwriting of multiple trophy assets throughout the Midwest.
Prior to joining JLL, Jon spent 5 years with a boutique corporate advisory firm working primarily with larger corporate clients.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooster. He is an active member of the National Association of Industrial of Office Professionals (NAIOP) and holds a real estate license in the State of Ohio.
