Current Responsibilities
John W. Gibb is a Managing Director with Jones Lang LaSalle. His primary responsibility is developing the Company’s education, municipal and non-profit real estate practice. Mr. Gibb is a principal in Jones Lang LaSalle Securities, LLC, a registered broker dealer and member of FINRA.
Experience
John joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008 with the merger of The Staubach Company, where he had been for nine years. Previously, John was with Sallie Mae, he managed the private placement of over $2 billion of taxable and tax-exempt financings and debt service reserve hedge agreements for colleges and universities in Sallie Mae’s portfolio. He also served as an investment banking principal in Sallie Mae’s investment banking subsidiary, Education Securities, which underwrote publicly offered debt for colleges and universities and K-12 schools. Prior to John's position with Sallie Mae, he worked as a senior financial analyst for Fairfax County, VA.

Graduate certificate in real estate investment analysis at Virginia Commonwealth University
John served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. Mr. Gibb also has FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses and VA, MD and DC real estate licenses. John serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Wilson College (PA) as well as the Chairman of the Real Estate Committee for the Board of New Hope Housing, an organization that addresses the needs of the homeless in Fairfax and Arlington Counties and the City of Alexandria, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
