Career summary:
John is a Managing Director in the Charlotte office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 13 years of experience in commercial real estate. John co-leads the multi-housing investment advisory team for the Carolinas. Prior to that, he focused primarily on debt and equity placement transactions for multi-housing properties throughout the United States, with a specific focus on the Carolinas and southeastern US markets. Throughout his career, John has participated in more than $7 billion in capitalizations across a variety of transaction types, including multi-housing, build-for-rent, and student housing dispositions, permanent, construction, and bridge financings, in addition to preferred equity and joint venture equity placement.
John started at HFF in February 2015 as one of the first hires in the Carolinas office. Before that, he was an Associate at Fairview Real Estate Solutions, working on CMBS-focused underwriting and due diligence. Prior to that, John was at Oceancrest Advisory Services, where he assisted community and regional banks around the Southeast in improving their overall asset quality through the workout and disposition of NPA and OREO portfolios.
