Current responsibilities

John Danielson serves as Senior Director within the national retail sector practice of JLL Value and Risk Advisory. This practice focuses on all retail property types such as shopping centers, power centers, superregional shopping malls, single-tenant stores, and others.

In addition to retail, John also specializes in industrial real estate, and he has experience with a wide array of other property types and classes including multifamily, office, self-storage, mixed-use, vacant land, and a variety of special-use properties. He has completed assignments that meet a broad spectrum of client needs – including financing, tax planning and appeals, shareholder and succession planning, trust and estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, conservation easements, litigation and dispute advisory, as well as general asset management, investment, and disposition. John has appraised properties in over 15 states with values exceeding $100 million.

Clients served include law firms, private property owners, financial institutions, REITs, pension funds, CMBS services, municipalities, conservation groups, and other users.

Experience

Mr. Danielson began his career as an Appraiser in Detroit in 2015 at Stout Advisory. He went on to work for Terzo & Bologna, Inc., which later became Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. Prior to becoming an Appraiser, John managed commercial real estate due diligence and construction loan administration for Level One Bank in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
