Current Responsibilities:

Mr. Brownlee is a Senior Managing Director in Jones Lang LaSalle America's, Inc. (Capital Markets) Dallas office. He is primarily responsible for originating debt and structured finance transactions throughout the southern United States. Mr. Brownlee’s focus is on multi-housing, office, retail and industrial properties, with a specialization in multi-housing, office and mixed-use.

Experience:

John has over 26 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. He has held the title of Senior Managing Director at both Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF) and JLL. At HFF, John represented both private and institutional investors in accessing the capital markets for debt as well as structured finance including joint venture capital, mezzanine financing, etc. in order to finance commercial real estate throughout the United States. During the course of his career with HFF and JLL, he has completed approximately $10 billion in commercial real estate transactions.

Education and Affiliations:

John received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. John has been active in the North Texas Urban Land Institute (ULI) for the better part of the last decade. He was the organization treasurer from 2015-2016, a chair member from 2016-2019, and currently holds a position as governance chair. Outside of the real estate world, John has been on the Board of Elders for Messiah Lutheran Church since 2011.
