Career Summary
Jeff Klein is the head of the derivative advisory practice for JLL Capital Markets – Americas, based in Charlotte, NC. Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Klein was part of the ownership group of both Kensington Capital Advisors and Frame Financial Systems. Both companies were started to provide strategic derivative advice and technology systems to end users of derivative financial products. The companies were fully acquired by JLL in 2023. Possessing over 30 years of experience in the derivative and capital markets businesses, Mr. Klein is integrating the derivative advisory professionals from Kensington Capital Advisors into the industry leading Capital Markets Group at JLL.
Prior to his role as an independent derivative advisor, Mr. Klein was a Principal within Bank of America’s Global Derivative Products Group, where he served as a senior professional supporting the bank’s structuring and sales efforts. He is an expert at pricing and structuring hedging instruments, with extensive experience integrating these tools into both taxable and tax-exempt financings. Along with earning his CFA designation, Mr. Klein is a licensed FINRA representative with JLL Securities, LLC which holds his Series 6, 7, 50, 52, 54, 63, and 82 series licenses. He was also a co-author of “Jefferson County (C) Subsequent Issuance" a Harvard Business Journal publication (9-213-058, Dec. 7, 2012).
