Current Responsibilities:
Jason Smith is Executive Vice President and Group Manager for JLL client portfolios in Northern California, including Nuveen Real Estate, JPMorgan Chase, and GI Partners. In this role, he is responsible for the execution of client-specific deliverables, national initiatives, and the excellent financial and operational performance of the asset.
Experience:
Jason has over 16 years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to his current role, he was the Operations Manager for San Francisco, supporting and leading a team of over 50+ management and engineering individuals across approximately 5M RSF of managed assets in the City. Prior to this, Jason was the General Manager for 101 Montgomery Street and 425 California Street, the Property Manager for the Transamerica Pyramid Center, and a commercial real estate manager for various high-rise office buildings in San Francisco including 475 Sansome, 543 Howard Street, and 131-141 Steuart Street. Additionally, Jason has experience in areas of real estate brokerage, real estate loans and finance, market research, and financial analysis of income property.
Education and Affiliations:
Jason received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Science in Management & Human Resources from Cal Poly University. He is a Director for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of IREM, and an active member of BOMA San Francisco. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, holds the designations of Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA), a LEED Green Associate, and a Fitwel Ambassador.
In addition to his real estate background, Jason is proficient in Spanish and experienced with Yardi Voyager, Kardin, and Argus DCF.
