Jason DeWitt is a Senior Vice President in Capital Markets, located in Chicago, where he is a senior member of the Corporate Finance & Net Lease team, a national practice that focuses on single-tenant / net lease transactions across the U.S. Jason's primary responsibilities include the disposition of net lease assets as well as advising corporate clients on a variety of structured real estate decisions such as: structuring sale-leaseback and build-to-suit transactions; asset and credit underwriting; acting as an advisor on corporate real estate acquisitions; the dissolution and sale of joint venture interests; and informing clients on the economics and accounting impacts of their real estate decisions.


Jason brings over 12 years of real estate transaction experience (all with JLL) serving institutional investors, private equity, financial institutions, developers and corporations. Since 2006, he has been involved in the execution of transactions valued in excess of $4 billion encompassing various product types including office, industrial, retail and mixed-use product. Jason's advisory and transaction experience at JLL includes numerous investor and corporate clients such as BP, BMO Harris, James Campbell Estate, Heitman, Guardian, BlueCross, Brookfield, A&M Capital, GEICO, MeadWestVaco, PNC, Paramount, Somerset Partners, Sumitomo, Sun Microsystems, TIAA CREF, and Verisign to name a few. Prior to his career with JLL, Jason worked for Booz Allen Hamilton's Economic and Business Analysis team where he advised a multitude of government and private clients on the economic outcome of various strategic investment and cost-savings initiatives. 

Education and Affiliations

Jason graduated from Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech) with a dual-Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Information Technology. He also holds a Masters degree in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in Real Estate Development as well as real estate licenses in the state of Illinois and Virginia.
