Current Responsibilities
Jason Benson manages lease negotiations and facility acquisition and dispositions for tenants in the New Jersey marketplace. He also provides landlords and tenants with market overviews, financial analysis, and opinions of value.
Experience
Mr. Benson began his career at JLL in 2013 with the Project & Development Services Group. As a member of Brokerage Services, he is able to use his experience in project development and tenant build outs, knowledge of government incentive programs and his fresh perspective on corporate occupancies to aid area tenants in devising and implementing long term strategic plans that drive economic efficiency, operational flexibility, and employee retention/attraction.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Benson worked as a project manager at an architectural and planning firm based in Brooklyn, New York. There, he was responsible for managing mid-sized capital improvement projects for institutional clients such as The University of Notre Dame and The Government Services Administration (GSA).
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Benson graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor of science degree in Environmental Planning and Landscape Architecture.
At Rutgers he was awarded a merit award for academic excellence in the field of landscape architecture. Upon graduation, he was asked to serve as a founding member of the department’s alumni advisory committee to assist in strengthening the program.
