Current responsibilities:

James Esquivel is responsible for office leasing, client account management and new business development within JLL’s Dallas Agency Leasing group. With a 28-year record of office leasing success, James and his teams have completed over 1,700 transactions valued at more than $700 million. He has consistently found creative leasing and marketing solutions to challenges faced by office building owners.

Experience:

Prior to joining JLL in May of 2007, James was with Trammell Crow Company/CBRE, where he worked in the office leasing division. His clients included Crescent Real Estate Equities, JPMorgan Chase, RREEF, TIAA-CREF and Behringer Harvard Funds. From 1999 to 2005, he served as a Leasing Director at Equity Office Properties Trust. In that role he was responsible for marketing and leasing 1.32 million square feet of Class A office space in far north Dallas and Las Colinas.

Awards and recognitions:

James consistently ranks as a top producer at JLL, including Top Achiever designation (2010, 2011, 2014, 2018 and 2021) and Gold Achiever designation (2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023).

Education and affiliations:

James holds a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. He has been involved in the Dallas Real Estate Council, and completed the Associate Leadership Council program (a leadership development program within The Real Estate Council). He is a Licensed Texas Real Estate Salesman. His current and previous community affiliations include: Highland Park Presbyterian Church and has served as a Reserve Deacon, Assistant Treasurer, Facilities Committee and Usher/Greeter Ministry; Sudie Williams Elementary School (DISD) volunteer; Park Cities YMCA, Partners Campaign Fundraiser; Momentous Institute board member and current Reading Buddy; member of Dallas Country Club; a member and currently serving on the board of directors of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas; and was the Chairman of the PGA Tour’s 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
