Current Responsibilities

Mr. Duff is Senior Vice President , and Market Lead in JLL’s Cleveland office and the Great Lakes Region Industrial Lead for Project Development Services, where he provides variable project management services throughout the region. Mr. Duff is responsible for all aspects of the local project management operation as well as project planning, execution and delivery, including budgeting, design and construction coordination, quality control and relocation. The JLL Cleveland team of project managers serves our Brokers, and various local and national corporate accounts. This team provides complete project management services on a variety of projects from ground up construction to tenant improvement through large an d complex relocation assignments.

Experience

Mr. Duff has over 30 years of experience in the management of construction and development projects. He has worked for development groups, construction companies and CM firms where he was accountable for establishing project budgets and schedules, negotiating and procuring all subcontracts, monitoring and managing all financial projections for labor, material, subcontractors, equipment and consultants, and managing projects from concept to completion.

Mr. Duff works closely with clients/developers/designers/contractors to identify alternate approaches and cost savings strategies while utilizing JLL’s standard project management processes throughout the design and construction phase. Mr. Duff typically assists the client identify 3 to 5 times JLL’s fee in savings, (ranging from $150,000 to over $3,000,000 in savings, as well as a reduced project schedule) This savings has allowed clients to realize projects that exceed their expectations and ambitions on a regualar basis.

Prior to JLL, Mr. Duff served as Senior Construction Administrator and Field Manager at URS completing the Cleveland Medical Mart & Convention Center / Global Center for Health Innovation project, which is valued at over $470 million and encompasses over 1.3 million square feet. His responsibilities included construction administration and management, performing and administrating the project punch list, closeout and all field A/E coordination, while serving as construction liaison between the owner, URS (including 50 consulting engineers and architects) and Turner Construction.

Mr. Duff has also worked on 20+ development and infrastructure projects over a 10-year period valued at over $900 million. These infrastructure improvements spanned over 2,000 acres and included roads, sewer, water, electric, gas, telecom and fiber.

Education and Affiliations

Mr. Duff earned a bachelor of arts / communications from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He served in the United States Army, 75th Ranger Regiment & 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. Duff has also completed OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
