Current Responsibilities:

Located in the Birmingham office, Hugo specializes in Tenant Representation in the Gulf South region. Hugo has extensive market knowledge throughout the Southeast and has developed strong relationships with retailers and Landlords over the years. His past experience allows him to assist his clients with multiple services, including site selection consulting, national rollouts, disposition and ground up development.

Experience:

With more than 20 years of experience in retail real estate, Hugo’s areas of expertise include tenant representation, disposition, as well as development. Before joining JLL, Hugo was a partner at Capital Growth Real Estate and The Shopping Center Group. 

Education and Affiliations:

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Russian Studies from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Arts in European History from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Hugo is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority, and the past-President of the Birmingham Commercial Board of Realtors. He is active in the affordable housing space and serves on the boards of two affordable housing non-profits – Navigate Affordable Housing and The Housing Affordability Trust. He is an active member in the International Council of Shopping Centers.
