George Bouchie

George Bouchie

Senior Project Management Director, Environmental & Property Condition Services

Career Summary

George Bouchie serves as the Senior Project Management Director with JLL’s Environmental and Property Condition Services group. He has been helping clients evaluate properties for over 30 years, since the days before the first ASTM standards for ESAs and PCAs were published, and he still enjoys the process. He understands what most clients want: straight answers (today if not sooner) and viable options if an unusual concern comes to light.

Based in Chicago for his entire career, George has gone from coast to coast, beyond borders north and south, and from towers to deep sub-basements in efforts to provide lenders, buyers, and agencies with informed perspectives on commercial real estate. Early in his career he worked with a small regional company providing environmental and engineering studies. He became manager of Midwest operations for a real estate consulting practice and later to director of building sciences due diligence for a national firm. He has been mentored by some of the best and brightest in the industry along the way. Throughout his varied career, George has avoided specialization in favor of versatility, gaining familiarity with construction services, seismic, safety, accessibility, and other areas comprising the broad scopes of debt and equity PCA services. He recognizes and relishes the challenge of conveying practical information to clients who may not have an architecture, engineering, or construction background but who need to know the essentials about a property they've possibly never seen.

George lives with his wife and three children in the suburbs of Chicago. Over the years he has also found time to serve as a library trustee, baseball coach, scout leader, board member, and charity fundraising volunteer.
