Current responsibilities
Gayle M. Hartfelder is a Director within JLL Value and Risk Advisory. Based in New York, she is focused on conducting appraisal assignments. Ms. Hartfelder has over 25 years of experience in the appraisal industry. Over the course of her career, Ms. Hartfelder has written narrative appraisal reports for the valuation of a wide variety of commercial properties, such as shopping centers, retail buildings, office buildings, full-service and self-service car washes, hospitals, airports/FBOs, hotels, restaurants, rent-controlled apartments, affordable housing developments, commercial buildings, multifamily projects, mixed-use developments, subdivision developments, industrial buildings, and vacant land among others. In addition, she has appraised LEED certified industrial buildings and schools.
Ms. Hartfelder has also performed compliance and technical reviews of appraisal reports on a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and special purpose properties, as well as vacant land and residential properties, located across the United States. Her appraisal review experience also includes working with financial institutions on loan participations and syndications. She has managed and performed portfolio analyses on a variety of property types, including groceries, convenience stores, and manufacturing facilities. Ms. Hartfelder also has experience preparing market analyses, including newsletters and presentations, and highest and best use analyses, as well as providing litigation support to attorneys and business plans.
Experience
Prior to joining JLL, Ms. Hartfelder worked as a commercial appraiser for Metropolitan Valuation Services (MVS) based in New York City for over 4 years. Prior to MVS, she worked as a senior commercial appraiser for an independent appraisal firm based in Connecticut for 14 years. Prior to that she worked with Comerica Bank and Chase Bank in Texas both in appraisal review and appraisal production.

- Texas A&M University, B.B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate.
