Current Responsibilities
As an Executive Vice President with the Strategic Advisory & Asset Management division of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels & Hospitality Group, Edouard Schwob focuses on the asset management of a portfolio of more than $1B in total asset value as well as providing advice on high profile real estate investment and development projects. His duty includes buy-side due diligence, closing assistance, development, repositioning and programing analysis, market demand and market position studies, highest and best-use analysis, management and franchise agreement negotiations, operator searches, appraisals services and strategic planning. Mr. Schwob joined the New York office of Jones Lang LaSalle as a hospitality real estate consultant in the Strategic Advisory and Asset Management practice in July 2011 after five years spent with the Paris Office.
Experience
Mr. Schwob has worked on investment asset management, counseling, development planning, operator selection, and asset valuations in the US, Europe, Caribbean and Africa on multiple types of real estate assets, including hotels, golfs, private clubs, serviced apartments and large mixed-uses. He has also been involved in the transactions of hotel portfolios, single assets and development projects. Representative projects include valuations of several large hotel portfolios, luxury mix-used development feasibilities and programing studies, asset management services for large 5-star properties in NY and contract negotiations with various international brands.
He has also participated in the publication of several research reports, articles and white papers on a variety of subjects, including the hotel investment market, a comparison of hotel real estate vs. other asset classes, NY hotel rooftop bars and luxury hotels.
Prior Positions
Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, Mr. Schwob worked with KPMG Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure advisory service. He has also worked for Dannon in Argentina and for the Embassy of Chile in London.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Schwob holds a Msc of Management from the City University of London, UK and a Msc of Business from ESCP Europe of Paris, France. He speaks English, Spanish and French. He is certified as a LEED Green Associate since 2012 and a member of the RICS.
