Current responsibilities:
Based in Chicago, Edgar is the Senior Manager responsible for researching and building expert analyses on the office, multi-family, and life sciences commercial real estate markets in the Chicagoland area, while supporting the tenant rep, agency leasing, and capital markets teams. He also manages two insightful research analysts that focus on analyzing the trends in the city and suburban Chicago office markets.
Experience:
Prior to joining JLL, Edgar began his career as a financial analyst working within the FP&A group at Schneider Electric. He joined JLL over five years ago working directly with the CFO, at the time, as part of the FP&A group, before eventually joining the Chicago research team.
Education and affiliations:
Edgar holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Augustana College (go Vikings!). He is also currently pursuing a master’s degree in economics at Purdue University, while also gaining certifications in coding languages R, Python, and Statista. He is also a member of the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement and is currently enrolled in their leadership program after being nominated within JLL.
Outside interests:
Outside of work, Edgar enjoys watching and attending sporting events such as football, soccer (futbol), and basketball. He also enjoys going to concerts, working out, cooking (working on a cookbook), spending time with his daughter & family, and traveling.
