Senior Director, Value and Risk Advisory - Americas

Current responsibilities

Drake Moore serves as Senior Director of JLL’s Value and Risk Advisory in the United States. In this role, he focuses on conducting appraisals, market studies, and consulting assignments for senior housing and healthcare properties nationwide, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), and senior apartments. Additionally, Mr. Moore has been involved in appraisal matters in over 35 states.

Experience

Mr. Moore has over three decades of real estate valuation, lending, and brokerage experience. Prior to joining JLL in March 2019, Mr. Moore was with National Valuation Consultants, Inc., where he most recently served as Vice President with the Dallas office.  He has held senior-level and officer positions with Integra Realty Advisors, Marshall & Stevens, Inc., the B.F. Saul Company and Bank America. He staffed and managed a mortgage origination office in Arlington, TX for the B.F. Saul Company. In 1992, Mr. Moore founded and managed the L.D. Moore Company, a Dallas company, which provided real estate appraisal and brokerage services. From 1996 through 1997, he also served as an officer and shareholder of a North Texas construction company.

Mr. Moore holds a Certified General Real Estate Appraisal license in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Notable Projects

Although recent specialization has been senior housing, Mr. Moore is familiar with most property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, hotels, and retail. Notable projects appraised include two high-rise apartment buildings in the Arts District of Dallas.  Also in Dallas, a high-rise luxury condominium building in the Turtle Creek area was appraised by Mr. Moore shortly after construction.

Corporate buildings appraised include an office campus in Las Colinas, TX and the 40-story Enron South Tower in Downtown Houston.   Within the Medical District of Houston, Mr. Moore appraised a 28-story medical office building.

Consulting projects include a due diligence assignment to redevelop a 75-year-old 31-story office building in downtown Dallas.  Mr. Moore also assisted in a consulting assignment for a redevelopment project in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Brokerage and consulting services were provided for the acquisition and sale of a large industrial tract in Fort Worth. Consulting work was also provided to a client of a renowned Dallas development and investment firm to purchase various triple net property listings.
