Current responsibilities
Donnie Robinson joined JLL in 2019 as Regional Manager for the Carolinas Property Management division where he serves investor-owners on a 20 million square foot portfolio. Donnie has over 30 years of property management experience and over 25 of those years have been in leadership roles growing and developing teams.
Experience
Prior to JLL, Donnie spent 16 years at CBRE where he was responsible for a portfolio totaling over 19 million square feet in four markets. Under his leadership, their Charlotte portfolio grew 300% and he on-boarded 3 acquisition markets in South Carolina in 18 months totaling 8 million square feet of managed properties.
Donnie was with The Keith Corporation as Director of Management Services, overseeing a diverse portfolio in excess of 3 million square feet and 70 employees. He served as Director of Property Management for Beacon Partners of Charlotte where he started the property management division that served a portfolio of over 2 million square feet of industrial and office space as well as providing management oversight for new development and construction projects. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Robinson was with Lincoln Property Company as Property Manager for a portfolio that included the 60-story Bank of America Corporate Center, which was awarded Office Building of the Year by BOMA. Donnie began his career with Central Parking Systems.
Education and affiliations
Donnie is a graduate of Frostburg State University, where he received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is a Licensed Broker and qualified Broker-In-Charge in North and South Carolina. Donnie is a member and past-president of BOMA Charlotte and has been a BOMI instructor for design, operations and maintenance. He has been a member of the Real Estate Committee for Charlotte’s Children and Family Services Center since 2005. Donnie has volunteered as a lacrosse coach since 1998 and is active in his church and Appalachian Service Project.
