Deven is a retail brokerage representative who is responsible for overall development and execution of leasing strategies for properties in the Hawaii. Deven has strong knowledge of property management, operations and marketing to better assist clients with overall asset goals through the implementation of a strategic leasing plan. Additionally, Deven is responsible for developing and maintaining strong retailer relationships.
Deven has more than seven years of retail real estate experience. Prior to joining JLL Retail, Deven served as Group Business Development Representative at General Growth Properties where he managed the specialty leasing and ancillary income programs at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center and Windward Mall in Hawaii. During his tenure with General Growth Properties, Deven increased specialty leasing income to over $2 million annually at Windward Mall for the first time in the program history. Additionally, he participated in local leasing initiatives including the multi-million dollar remodel and re-tenanting of the Windward Mall Food Court.
Deven’s additional experience includes serving as District Sales Manager for Trans World Entertainment Corporation, Senior Store Manager for The Musicland Group and Research and Development Lead for West Tech Software.
Deven holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Washington in Seattle. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), both the Honolulu Japanese and Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce, and he holds a real estate license in the state of Hawaii.
