Current responsibilities
Denise is a National Director and serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Carolinas Market. As COO, she is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership of operations for the Carolinas market, as well guiding the strategic direction of the business.
She works closely with the Market Director to implement growth strategies, support recruitment pursuits and transitions, and works to develop a business development mindset among all business support teams. She also serves on the Carolinas Executive Leadership Committee.
Experience
Prior to joining JLL, Denise spent 13 years with Lincoln Harris, most recently as Senior Vice President and Director of Operations. In this position, she oversaw the functional and strategic operations of their real estate, as well as overseeing the Human Resources and Information Technology departments of the firm.
Prior to this position, she served as Regional Director of Property Management on the Bank of America account, which included serving as the project lead for Lincoln Harris' 2012 expansion into the Southeast region, which tripled the size of their territory.
Awards
In 2014, Denise received The Mecklenburg Times 50 Most Influential Women award, the Women in Business award from the Charlotte Business Journal and was nominated for the KPMG Athena award.
Education
Denise has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in International Business, Management Information Systems, and Marketing from the University of South Florida.
Denise is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, certified as a BOMA Real Property Administrator, and is a Six Sigma Green Belt. She is currently pursuing a Master of Corporate Real Estate designation through CoreNet.
Affiliations
Denise is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and has served on the Board of Directors of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).
She is currently a mentor in CREW's 2016 mentorship program and is the Carolinas co-chapter lead for JLL's Women's Business Network.
In 2015, Denise served as a mentor in the Charlotte Business Journal's Mentoring Monday Bizwomen program.
