Current Responsibilities
As International Director and a Market Leader in the Southeast, Demarest specializes in representation and consultation for corporate clients in Atlanta and throughout the United States from the Atlanta Regional Headquarters. A perennial top producer, Mr. Demarest brings with over 30 years of real estate experience and a wealth of in-depth knowledge of the Atlanta market and the greater southeast.
Demarest leads a team of fifteen practitioners with varying degrees of expertise and specialization enabling the group to deliver a wide array of services to its diverse client base. With practice groups dedicated to both local transaction assignments in the Greater Atlanta area, corporate and regional headquarters assignments nationally and to outsourced corporate real estate portfolio services, he and his team are active in every major US market. Demarest has been active in the Atlanta real estate market since 1987 and has represented clients in transaction volume of over $4.0 billion in his career.
Experience and Accomplishments
Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Demarest resided at Cushman and Wakefield where he was the firm’s overall top professional in the Southeast from 1998-2006. Throughout his career, he has been consistently ranked among the top Real Estate professionals in the southeast. Mr. Demarest started his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Demarest has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University, and he graduated from The Marist School in Atlanta. He has served on numerous boards, including the Georgia State University Athletic Department Board of Trustees, The Piedmont Park Conservancy, and The Marist School Master Plan Committee and Alumni Association.
