Current Responsibilities:
Dan Close is a Senior Vice President in the Brokerage Services division at JLL. Dan works out of the Cherry Hill, New Jersey office where he specializes in tenant/buyer representation and agency leasing and sales in the Southern New Jersey office market. Dan provides tenants and buyers with real estate advisory and transaction expertise to help those clients utilize their space efficiently and maximize their budget to meet the goals and objectives of the company. Dan services owners and landlords with marketing expertise and insight to maximize their return on investment while securing new tenants, retain existing tenants, and maximizing the value of the asset to meet the goals of the owners exit strategy. With experience on both the Landlord and Tenant sides of the transaction, Dan is able to provide clients with unique insight from both the owner, and tenant perspectives. Since joining JLL in August of 2011, Dan has been involved in over 2.0 million square feet of office leasing and sales. Dan was recognized by JLL in 2015 as a Top Achiever and was also recognized as a 2015 CoStar Power Broker.
Experience:
Dan brings over ten years of experience within the commercial real estate industry to JLL. Prior to joining JLL, he held a real estate sales and leasing position at The Flynn Company, where he began his career. Throughout his ten year career, Dan has represented clients such as WebiMax, Cobalt Capital Partners, Delco Development, USAA Insurance, Behringer Harvard, Great Point Investors, MetLife, Computer Sciences Corporation, Inspira Health Network, Healthcare REIT, and RREEF. Dan has also participated in several major land developments including the acquisition and approval processes. He has advised companies such as Roux and Associates on build to suit opportunities in Southern New Jersey on their corporate headquarters. He has also been involved with multiple 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges helping companies defer tax bills and re-invest the money to help those companies grow their business. Most recently, Dan has been involved with several major transactions involving the GrowNJ Program, whereby companies receive tax credits for either staying in or relocating to the State of New Jersey by either retaining jobs or creating new jobs through the Economic Opportunity Act of 2013.
Education:
Dan attended the Pennsylvania State University and majored in Professional Golf Management. After attending Penn State University, Dan was a PGA Golf Professional at one of the highest ranked golf clubs in the Country, Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey. In addition to playing and competing professionally, Dan ran the day to day operations of the club. As a golf professional, Dan completed seminars which include Interpersonal Skills, Communication, Marketing, Merchandising, and Managing.
Dan is active in the Southern New Jersey Community. Dan serves on the Advisory Board for the CARES Institute and their annual CARES Gala which helps raise money and awareness for children and their families who have been affected by abuse. Dan continues to compete in golf but at the amateur level having won his club championship two consecutive years and other noteworthy events throughout the region. Dan currently holds a real estate license in the State of New Jersey.
